Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) has appointed State Rep. Ron Young (R-Leroy Twp.) to three House standing committees for the 130th Ohio General Assembly.

Rep. Young was selected to be chairman of the House Commerce, Labor and Technology Committee. He will also be serving on the State and Local Government Committee, as well as the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee.

“I’m honored to have been selected by Speaker Batchelder to serve as a committee chairman,” Rep. Young said. “The committees I was appointed to have a very important role in the legislative process, and I’m looking forward to taking a closer look at many of the issues facing Ohioans.”

Rep. Young represents is serving his second consecutive term at the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 61st House District, which includes portions of Lake County.
