COLUMBUS -

State Representative Ron Hood (R-78) was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives by Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel in a private ceremony Monday morning.  The 131st General Assembly will be his second term representing the 78th House District which includes all of Hocking and Morgan counties and portions of Athens, Fairfield, Muskingum and Pickaway counties.

“It is a great privilege to represent the people of the 78th House District,” declared Rep. Hood.  “And I was honored that Treasurer Mandel was able to swear me in.  We share the same view of government – smaller and less intrusive means more freedom for the people of Ohio.  That’s what I intend to work towards the next two years.”

Representative Hood is a graduate of the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with a dual major in marketing and economics.  He works full-time in the private sector and part-time in the legislature.  He previously served three terms in the Ohio House from 1995-2000 and then again from 2005-2006.
