Rep. Cupp Announces Approval Of Allen County Projects
Funding will go to projects at Rhodes State, OSU Lima and Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution

COLUMBUS—State Representative Robert Cupp (R-Lima) today announced that the State Controlling Board approved the release of funds for four important improvement projects in Allen County. Rhodes State College, Ohio State University Lima and Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution will all receive funding for important renovation projects.


The funds will be drawn from the state capital budget, which took effect in August 2016 and appropriated money for construction and renovation projects.


OSU-Lima and Rhodes State College will receive capital funds in the amount of $600,000 for HVAC repair on their co-located campus. OSU- Lima will receive $563,393 for parking lot repairs, and $776,014 for HVAC repair. Allen Oakwood Correctional will receive $854,000 for a sewer line project.


“These projects will bring more than $2.7 million dollars into the local economy,” Representative Cupp said. “The renovations will improve operations at Rhodes State and OSU Lima, as well as Allen Oakwood Correctional Institution.”
