State Representative Bob Cupp (R-Lima) on Monday was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 131st General Assembly. He represents the 4th Ohio House District, which includes all of Allen County.


“It’s an honor to represent the people of Allen County in Ohio’s House of Representatives,” Rep. Cupp said. “I look forward to the challenge of creating laws and policies to help grow more jobs, support our families, and protect our communities.”


Rep. Cupp is serving his first term as state representative but was a member of the Ohio Senate from 1985 to 2000, and served as Senate President Pro Tempore from 1997 to 2000.  A former Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio, he has the distinction of being the only former judge currently serving the state legislature. Bob Cupp has also served as Lima City Prosecutor and Allen County Commissioner; and is a lifelong Allen County resident.


Accompanied by his wife Libby, sons Ryan and Matt, and grandchildren Cailyn and Tristan, Cupp was administered the oath of office by Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith L. French.
