COLUMBUS—State Representative Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) today honored Ted McColley during Ohio House session for his recent first place finish in the Goode Water Skiing Championship. Rep. McColley presented a resolution to Ted McColley, his cousin, commending him for his accomplishment.

Ted McColley, 61, has been participating in water skiing tournaments for almost 30 years, including competitions throughout the Midwest and Florida. This was McColley’s 26th time participating in the Goode Water Skiing Championship, but he has never been able to achieve the top prize until this year.

“Ted McColley’s hard work and perseverance are an example for everyone to follow,” said Rep. McColley. “It was a pleasure to recognize him for such a remarkable achievement.”

Ted McColley says he hopes to return to the competition next year to defend his title.
