Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) appointed Rep. Rick Perales (R-Beavercreek) to the House Public Utilities Committee.


“I am honored to have the Speaker’s confidence in taking on this new role,” Perales said. “The issues brought to the Public Utilities Committee will be among the most important facing our communities. I am ready to roll up my sleeves and do my part to ensure we make our state utilities the most effective and efficient in the country.”


The committee addresses issues related to all aspects of public utilities across the state, including regulation of electric, natural gas, telephone, water and transportation companies.


In addition to this appointment, Rep. Perales chairs the Finance Subcommittee on Higher Education, the House Veteran’s Caucus and the BRAC and Military Affairs Task Force. He also serves on the Armed Services, Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security Committee, the Higher Education and Workforce Development Committee and the State and Local Government Committee.


Rep. Perales is serving his third term in the Ohio House, representing the 73rd District. A veteran of the United States Air Force with experience at the local level of government, he resides in Beavercreek with his wife, Becka. They have four children and six grandchildren.

State Representative Rick Perales (R-Beavercreek) recently was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 130th General Assembly. He represents the 73rd Ohio House District, which includes Bath Township, Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Centerville, Clifton Village, Fairborn, Huber Heights, Kettering, Miami Township, Sugarcreek Township and Yellow Springs Village.
