COLUMBUS—State Representative Rick Carfagna (R-Genoa Township) yesterday attended a luncheon hosted by the Knox County Chapter of PERI (Public Employee Retirees Inc.) and addressed the retirees in attendance. The event took place at Allison’s Finer Diner in Mount Vernon.

At the meeting, Rep. Carfagna had interactive discussions with about 40 Knox County retirees on issues of pensions, benefits, and the retirement system at large. Among other committees, Rep. Carfagna currently serves on the Ohio Retirement Study Council.

“As a member of the Ohio Retirement Study Council, I take the solvency of our five public retirement systems extremely seriously and always welcome input from retired and active members,” said Rep. Carfagna. “Thank you to Lee McPhail, Jamie Day, Connie Dailey, and PERI President/CEO Geoff Hetrick for inviting me to speak and for your gracious hospitality!”
