Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) and State Representative Niraj Antani (R-Miamisburg) today participated in a tour and media availability at Polaris Industries in Wilmington to mark the occasion of House Bill 429 going into effect. This legislation permits three-wheeled auto cycles to be driven by motorists who have a conventional driver's license. The law no longer requires obtaining a motorcycle endorsement to operate these vehicles.

Joined by State Representative Al Landis (R-Dover), State Senator Frank LaRose (R-Hudson), State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House), as well as a representative from Polaris Industries, J.R. Burke, the group toured the facility, which manufactures various adventure and powersport vehicles including ATVs, snowmobiles and auto cycles.

“I want to thank Polaris for welcoming us here today to see why they continue to be a thriving business and job creator in southwestern Ohio,” Speaker Rosenberger said. “I commend Representatives Niraj Antani and Bill Reineke for their work on this legislation, as well as Senators Frank LaRose and Bob Peterson for their efforts in the Senate. Today we were able to learn more about how the legislature can break down barriers for Ohio businesses and I’m glad to have had the opportunity to witness their work in action.”

"I want to thank Speaker Rosenberger for his support in being able to accomplish this important legislation," Representative Antani said. "Helping auto cycles get to market faster will help Polaris Industries expand their operation in Ohio and create more jobs. Ohio is now on the cutting edge of these new age vehicles and the automotive industry."
