State Representative Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) welcomed Pastor Andrew Goins to the Ohio Statehouse during Wednesday’s voting session of the Ohio House of Representatives.

Pastor Goins, from the Elyria Baptist Church, offered the invocation at the beginning of session. Born and raised in Maryland, he pastored in Colorado Springs, Colorado prior to moving to Elyria. He attended Covington Theological Seminary, where he obtained a degree in religious education.

“I was honored to invite Pastor Goins to give the opening prayer before the House chamber,” Manning said. “He is a positive role model to people of all ages, and I appreciate his willingness to come to Columbus for the invocation.”
