COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed House Bill 49, the state operating budget. The bill addresses some of Ohio’s most pressing issues, including more than $170 million in funding towards combating Ohio’s opioid epidemic and providing additional resources to schools. Rep. Manning voted in support of the legislation.

 
 

04.24.17 - Ohio Tax Credit Authority Approves Job Creation Tax Credit In Lorain County

 

COLUMBUS—State Representative Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today announced that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) has approved a Job Creation Tax Credit for an expansion project by Camaco Manufacturing in Lorain County. Through the tax credit, the company will expand its operations by over 200 jobs and will solidify $18.7 million in existing payroll (approximately 450 existing jobs) that the company currently employs.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today announced that the Ohio Legislative Service Commission is accepting applications for its 13-month Legislative and Telecommunications Fellowship Program. The commission will hire 24 fellows to work with members of the Ohio General Assembly during 2018.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today announced the passage of legislation by the Ohio House that makes changes to drug trafficking and possession laws regarding cocaine. House Bill 4 restores the statutory penalties for possession of cocaine and clarifies the penalties for the trafficking of cocaine.  Manning is the chair of the House Criminal Justice Committee, which unanimously recommended the bill’s passage in a hearing on Tuesday.

04.27.16 - Rep. Manning Announces Passage Of Bill Creating Sales Tax Holiday For Back-to-School Purchases

 

Today State Representative Nathan Manning announced that the Ohio House passed Senate Bill 264, which designates the first weekend in August 2016 as a sales tax holiday for the purposes of back-to-school shopping. The legislation creates a three-day period in which certain school supplies are exempt from both state and county sales tax.  Manning is also a co-sponsor of the legislation.

Today the Ohio House passed Sub. House Bill 113, which would require CPR training through the use of an AED device for high school students. The legislation, sponsored by State Representatives Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City) and Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville), is in an effort to encourage more youth to be familiar with the CPR process and administering an AED so they are prepared for an emergency situation.

The bill also increases to a 30-day supply, from 72 hours, the amount of a drug that a pharmacist can dispense without a prescription to a patient.
