COLUMBUS -

Mike Duffey (R-Worthington) has set up an online survey for constituents to provide their opinions about Governor John R. Kasich’s state budget proposal. Opinions are being collected in an online survey at: tinyurl.com/DuffeyBudgetSurvey

Recently, Governor Kasich released his proposed state budget for the 2014-2015 fiscal years. As a member of the House Finance and Appropriations Committee, Representative Duffey has begun reviewing Governor Kasich’s reform package that includes changes to Ohio’s school funding model, lowering the state income and sales taxes, and broadening the sales tax for services, among other reforms.

Representative Duffey is requesting resident feedback on these proposals before the Ohio House takes a vote on the bill.

“At least you can say this: Governor Kasich is not boring,” said State Rep. Mike Duffey. “As we have become accustomed, he has offered a series of major proposals for job creation that Ohioans need to consider carefully before deciding if they make sense. I hope our residents will speak up. Now is the time to be heard.”

Representative Duffey’s office has emailed the link to this survey to constituents who have contacted his office. In addition, he maintains an official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/StateRepMikeDuffey where he has posted live updates from the Ohio House Finance committee.

Residents in Dublin, Worthington and northwest Franklin County can provide their opinion to Representative Duffey by visiting the survey at: tinyurl.com/DuffeyBudgetSurvey
