COLUMBUS -

State Representative Mike Duffey (R-Worthington) applauded today’s announcement that Amazon will be expanding its operations into Ohio, expected to add about 1,000 jobs in the state over the next several years.

“Our district is poised for a more than $300 million investment in cutting-edge technology, which is fantastic,” said Rep. Duffey.  “Clearly, my efforts to help create JobsOhio are bearing fruit under the leadership of Governor Kasich.”

Rep. Duffey sponsored legislation in the 129th General Assembly that created the JobsOhio entity.

After previously announcing that it would add data computing centers in Dublin and Hilliard, Amazon also announced a third center that will open in New Albany.

The deal, which was reached between Amazon and the job-creating entity JobsOhio was announced during a press conference on Friday in the Ohio Statehouse.
