State Rep. Michele Lepore-Hagan (D-Youngstown) today issued the following statement on the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 5, a bipartisan plan to reform congressional redistricting in Ohio.

“Thank you to my colleagues and all the involved citizens for building this bipartisan coalition to bring about real change to the redistricting process in Ohio. Our democracy is stronger when voters are empowered to choose their own representation rather than letting politicians in Washington or Columbus choose for them. This is a step in the right direction.”
