Sheehy Applauds State Support For Electrical Improvements At Maumee Bay State Park
Says additional funding will upgrade electrical amenities at various state parks

State Rep. Michael P. Sheehy (D-Oregon) today applauded the release of $436,850 in state funds to contract with Feinknopf, Macioce, Schappa Architects to provide architectural services at state parks across Ohio, including the Statewide Campground Improvements project at Maumee Bay State Park.


“I am pleased to the state support improvement projects at Ohio’s beautiful state parks to accommodate outdated mechanical systems and the increased number of visitors over recent years,” said Sheehy. “This project will upgrade electrical amenities at Maumee Bay State Park to ensure safety and efficiency while camping.”


The additional funding is amended to original the improvement projects, which added a combination of full service and electric hook-ups to 331 campsites, along with renovations at two existing shower houses and the construction of four new shower houses at various state parks. Maumee Bay State Park will receive a portion of the amended funding.
