On Sunday, the Oscars aired and awarded Best Documentary Feature to “American Factory” – a documentary based around an Ohio factory’s reopening by a Chinese billionaire. The film benefitted from the Ohio motion picture tax credit program that began in 2009. Since 2006, Rep. Patton has been a primary sponsor and supporter of several motion picture tax credit bills.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) today announced the Ohio House passage of legislation jointly sponsored by Reps. Dave Greenspan (R-Westlake) and Scott Ryan (R-Granville Township). Substitute House Bill 415 seeks to create the Local Government Road Improvement Fund, to which one half of state surplus revenue each fiscal year will be allocated. This will supply funds to local governments for road improvement projects.
