COLUMBUS – State Reps. Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati) and Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) yesterday held a press conference detailing anti-corruption legislation that puts people first.

COLUMBUS – State Representative Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced the opening meeting of the Joint Committee on Property Tax Review and Reform. Representative Troy first proposed a House Select Committee on Property Tax Education and Reform in the 134th General Assembly. The committee’s goal is to study and report on Ohio’s property tax law including levies, exemptions, and local political subdivision budgeting, concluding with concrete recommendations on how to better Ohio’s property tax laws.

COLUMBUS - State Representative Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) today encouraged eligible child care facilities to apply for the fourth round of child care stabilization grants. $200M in child care discretionary funding can be used for workforce recruitment and retention, expanding access, operating costs, or mental health and wellbeing of students and employees. Additionally, Representative Troy announced that the base rates for publicly funded child care will increase beginning February 4, 2024.

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) and Jamie Callender (R-Concord) yesterday celebrated the ceremonial signing of House Bill (HB) 61 by Governor DeWine. The bill passed unanimously in both the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) last week attempted to provide much needed property tax relief for seniors by introducing an amendment on the Ohio House floor. Rep. Troy’s amendment would have increased and expanded the homestead exemption in consideration of House Bill (HB) 187, which was voted on in the Ohio House Session on October 11, 2023.
