COLUMBUS -

State Representatives Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) and Michael Dovilla (R-Berea) recently introduced legislation which would name the I-90 Eastbound Bridge over the Cuyahoga River in Cuyahoga County as the “George V. Voinovich Bridge.” The bridge project is currently underway on I-90 and the matching westbound bridge was recently memorialized as the “George V. Voinovich Bridge.” House Bill 22 gives specific legislative authority to name the matching eastbound bridge to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

“I am pleased to joint sponsor H.B. 22 alongside Representative Dovilla to honor Senator Voinovich who has spent 44 years serving the public in various capacities,” said Rep Anielski.

House Bill 22 had its first hearing in the House Government Accountability and Oversight Committee.
