A time of .02 separated her from finishing in first place and her time of 8.94 ranks her 43rd in the United States this year. James Nedrich, a senior from Sagamore Hills, finished in 3rd place in the 1600 by posting his personal best time. Daija Young, a sophomore from Cleveland, won 3rd place in the weight throw and also 5th place in the shot put.

“This is a great honor for our student athletes,” said Anthony SanFilippo, athletic director at Trinity High School. “ We couldn’t be any more proud of them and their accomplishments.”

“I was delighted to have had the opportunity to personally honor these outstanding athletes for their outstanding accomplishments,” said Rep Anielski. “I have watched these athletes blossom athletically over the years and wish them the best of luck in all future athletic and academic endeavors.”

The Indoor State Meet held at The University of the Akron concluded the indoor season for the athletes.
