MACEDONIA - 

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) presented Joe Pekar, a resident of Walton Hills, with a commendation in celebration of his 103rd birthday, which was celebrated on February 1st.


Rep. Anielski surprised Mr. Pekar and his wife with the commendation with the help of his grandchildren, Bob and Denise, and great grandchildren, Matthew and Jamie, from Broadview Heights, and granddaughter, Chris, from Lakewood.


“I am pleased once again to have the chance to help celebrate Mr. Pekar’s milestone birthday and his lifetime of achievement,” Rep. Anielski said. "His birthday and marriage of 73 years serve as a reminder of the love and affection his family and friends have for him."

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) recently attended a vision screening training program hosted by the Ohio affiliate of Prevent Blindness at Brecksville Broadview Heights High School. Volunteers were trained and certified to conduct standardized preschool vision screenings that help detect early vision problems.

During this winter season, several specialized committees—task forces created by the Speaker of the House—have been meeting across Ohio to address specific policy areas. State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) was sworn in yesterday as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. She represents the 6th Ohio House District, which includes the south-east portion of Cuyahoga County, for a fourth term.
