State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) is hosting two “Legislator for a Day” programs on Friday, November 15, 2013 and Monday, March 24, 2014. All students of the 6th House District are invited.

The program will consist of a mock legislative voting session, where students will get the opportunity to sit in the desks on the House floor, vote on legislation, and attend a VIP tour of the Statehouse, which includes standing and getting a personal photo of where President Lincoln gave a speech. The day will end with students asking any additional questions while having lunch.

This program is open to all students grades K through 12th and their parents who reside in the 6th House District. Students who are interested in participating are encouraged to contact Rep. Anielski’s office to RSVP.

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) was sworn in yesterday as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. She represents the 6th Ohio House District, which includes the south-east portion of Cuyahoga County, for a fourth term.

During a press conference at the Statehouse this afternoon, State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) joined other public leaders in highlighting the state’s efforts in recent years to increase awareness and access to suicide prevention programs. She also discussed newly introduced legislation designed to help school districts and private schools across Ohio provide counseling to students in need of emotional support.
