State Rep. Anielski Delivers Honor Society Induction Speech
The Kappa Omicron Nu Delta Chapter Initiates New Members
Akron -

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) was the guest speaker for The Kappa Omicron Nu Delta Gamma Chapter’s new member initiation.

As an alumni of the University of Akron, Rep. Anielski spoke about the importance of leadership as well as personal and professional growth.

“I was honored to have been chosen by my alma mater to return and talk with the group of young leaders,” said Rep. Anielski. “I wished each and every member the strength to face the real world with vigor and passion, try to take life’s changes in stride, and always remember that learning doesn’t stop just because you receive a diploma.  Becoming a leader is a choice.  Choose wisely!"

“It is always a pleasure to see the students supported by their families at the initiation ceremony and to work with these outstanding students as they plan and complete their educational goals,” said Anne Weiner, School of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The Kappa Omicron Nu is an honor society for family and consumer sciences.  The chapter at the University of Akron dates back to 1977 and has since continued to grow. Membership is comprised of both undergraduate and graduate students who are in the human sciences field and excel academically.
