As part of her Ohio-themed art contest for all 4th grade students in the 6th House District, State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) today announced the winners from St. Michael’s School in Independence.


 


Representative Anielski visited the school to present Paige Barber and Gracie Gallucci with their framed artwork as well as to present certificates to all artists who participated.


 


“I am delighted to announce that Paige and Gracie’s  illustrations of what they like best about Ohio were selected as  winners of the 6th District Art Contest,” Rep Anielski said.


 


“The students enjoyed participating in the Ohio Themed Art Contest,” said 4th grade teacher, Carol Ulaszewski. “ The winners loved seeing their framed art hanging behind her desk.” 


 


The winning submissions were framed and displayed in the representative’s state office.

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) recently attended a vision screening training program hosted by the Ohio affiliate of Prevent Blindness at Brecksville Broadview Heights High School. Volunteers were trained and certified to conduct standardized preschool vision screenings that help detect early vision problems.

During this winter season, several specialized committees—task forces created by the Speaker of the House—have been meeting across Ohio to address specific policy areas. State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) was sworn in yesterday as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. She represents the 6th Ohio House District, which includes the south-east portion of Cuyahoga County, for a fourth term.
