Columbus - 

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) was sworn in yesterday as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. She represents the 6th Ohio House District, which includes the south-east portion of Cuyahoga County, for a fourth term.


“I am honored and humbled to continue to represent the citizens of the 6th House District,” said Rep. Anielski. “I will continue to work on issues that are important to the constituents of Cuyahoga County and Ohio.”


Growing up in northeastern Ohio, Representative Anielski is the former mayor of Walton Hills, a position she held for more than 10 years. She earned her Masters of Business Administration from Cleveland State University and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Akron. She also received her certification as an Ohio Certified Public Manager from Cleveland State University. She is a graduate of the Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute (JADOLI).


Rep. Anielski has also actively participated in numerous national, state and community organizations. She has served as a steering committee member of the Small Communities Council of the National League of Cities and as a steering committee member of the Mayors’ and Municipalities Automotive Coalition (MMAC). She is a Junior Achievement Volunteer and participates in several Chambers of Commerce.
