CHAGRIN FALLS—State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) recently met with students from Chagrin Falls High School.   She spoke to Mr. Jim Serluco’s sociology and government classes.

Representative Anielski explained the many roles of a state representative to the students and how positive interactions with people are crucial for being an effective leader.   A discussion took place on some of the current pieces of legislation that she is sponsoring, specifically on Sub. House Bill 319, which would create a specialty license plate for Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools.  The students were assigned to submit a question for Rep. Anielski for additional knowledge.

“Interacting directly with bright young students, like Mr. Serluco’s classes, was a great honor,” said Rep. Anielski.  “It is vital that we instill the importance of voting, government, and education at a young age to keep our children engaged.”

Chagrin Falls High School teacher, Jim Serluco, said, "The students enjoyed being challenged by Representative Anielski.  They were impacted by her passion. They retained facts about the material discussed."
