INDEPENDENCE–State Representative Marlene Anielski (R–Walton Hills) welcomed provider of personal training services, the Fitness Doctor, to the Independence area. The Fitness Doctor focuses on a medical approach to fitness, seeking to bridge the gap between science and exercise.

Dr. Fred Peters, founder of the Fitness Doctor, said, “I moved my business to Independence because I wanted to better serve our clients and also because I wanted to offer my services to the wonderful community that calls Independence home.”

The offices of the Fitness Doctor, located on Brecksville Road opposite of St. Michael’s Parish, reflect the goals that Dr. Peters has laid out. “My company is truly a family organization. My younger brother, Mathew, is my Director of Training Operations and my mom fills in at reception from time to time. My goal is to bring a medical approach to diet and exercise, without the use of pills and gimmicks.”

“I am happy to help welcome The Fitness Doctor to Independence and am confident that they will serve the community well,” said Rep. Anielski. “Their unique blend of nutrition and sports sciences will be a great aid to Independence and the surrounding communities.”

Also in attendance was Mayor Anthony Togliatti of the City of Independence who cut the ribbon for the grand opening along with Representative Anielski, Dr. Fred Peters, and Dr. Matthew Peters.
