COLUMBUS – State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) welcomed the Reverend Donna Barrett to the Statehouse, where she gave the opening invocation before the House of Representatives.

Reverend Barrett is the pastor of Rockside Church in Independence, Ohio, which she founded in 2003. She is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and serves as General Presbyter for the State of Ohio. Locally, she is spearheading the Seek God for the City initiative and also represents the city’s clergy to the Twenty-Five and Alive collaboration of local entities. She has also coordinated the National Day of Prayer observation in Independence for the past 14 years.

“It was wonderful to have Reverend Barrett here with us in Columbus,” said Rep. Anielski. “The work that she and her congregation perform within the communities and around us are a true example to the rest of us. Her prayer in opening session and community leadership were greatly appreciated.”
