State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) welcomed Pastor Larry Macon, Jr. to the Ohio House today to give the opening prayer before session.

“Pastor Larry Macon, Jr. has blessed not only the Mt. Zion community with his words of wisdom, but through his continuous leadership he has helped many other people and organizations in the Oakwood Village community and beyond,” Rep. Anielski said.  “Hosting him and his father, Rev. Larry Macon, Sr., at the Statehouse today was truly an honor and a great way to begin a productive legislative session.”

Pastor Larry Macon, Jr.  is the co-pastor of Mt. Zion Church of Oakwood Village, a church in the Greater Cleveland Area that serves over 5,000 people. He has worked in the United States Congress, with the Orange County Government in Florida, and was a trained mediator for Community Legal Services. Pastor Macon was also named a Minority Leaders Fellow in Washington D.C. and currently serves as an inspirational speaker and writer.

“Thank you Representative Anielski for allowing me to provide prayer at the People’s House today,” said Pastor Larry Macon, Jr.  “It has been said that where Ohio goes so goes the nation.  So as we continue to lead by example in this great state, let us lead by our Heavenly Father.”

Pastor Larry Macon, Jr. lives in northeast Ohio where he serves on the Board of Trustees for Central State University. He is a husband to the late Elodie Rosario, and a father to Alana and Michael.
