State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) today presented at the Ohio High School Athletic Association Student Leadership Conference. She spoke about House Bill 74, which is currently pending in the Ohio House of Representatives.

The event, held at The Ohio State University, had more than 1,200 students in attendance and promoted the values that are essential in becoming a positive role model and leader. Representative Anielski presented House Bill 74, which she is sponsoring, during the “Bullying and Hazing” portion of today’s event. House Bill 74 seeks to add additional protections to Ohioans who suffer from telecommunications harassment.

“Ohio’s laws must catch up with the increasing use of technology in today’s society,” Rep. Anielski said. “Far too many are experiencing this new form of harassment, cyberstalking, only to find they have no protections.”
