State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Independence) recently presented Eagle Scout Matt Mroczynski with a House Commendation for achieving his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 297.

Matt’s Eagle Scout project began in April of 2012 and concluded in June of that year. His project benefited St. Michael’s Catholic Church by rehabilitating the landscaping along the Convent building. The final work scope included removing overgrown shrubs along the front and side and replacing them with new plants, as well as expanding beds on the front and sides, removing weeds, placing screening in beds and mulching all affected areas.

“I am pleased to have been able to help honor Matt, such an outstanding young member of our community,” Rep Anielski said. “Becoming an Eagle Scout requires hard work and dedication, both of which Matt has demonstrated.”
