BRECKSVILLE - 

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) presented Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School students with accolades for their athletic achievements.


Representative Anielski attended a Board of Education meeting and presented the girls gymnastics team with a resolution for winning the state championship. The Bees won their 11th straight State High School gymnastic title and 14th overall under the leadership of Coach Joan Ganim. Overcoming many setbacks and injuries, the team beat out Mentor for the title with a score of 144.625-141.475. 


Jessica Lesesky, a senior basketball player, was presented with a resolution for winning the National Three-Point Shot Contest. Lesesky traveled to Dallas, where she competed in the American Family Insurance High School 3-Point Shootout Championship and took first place.


“Being a high school athlete requires dedication and perseverance, and each and every one of these ladies has demonstrated these qualities, both in school and during competition,” said Rep Anielski. “I wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavors.”

During a press conference at the Statehouse this afternoon, State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) joined other public leaders in highlighting the state’s efforts in recent years to increase awareness and access to suicide prevention programs. She also discussed newly introduced legislation designed to help school districts and private schools across Ohio provide counseling to students in need of emotional support.
