Today, Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) appointed Rep. Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) as chair of the House State and Local Government Committee.


“I want to thank Speaker Rosenberger for the confidence that he has in me, and I am humbled and honored to chair the House State and Local Government Committee,” Anielski said. “I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues during the 132nd General Assembly. We are all committed to making sure that government across the state of Ohio is capable, efficient, and responsible to each and every citizen.”


State Representative Marlene Anielski is currently serving her fourth term in the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 6th House District, which includes portions of Cuyahoga County including Bentleyville, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Falls Township, Gates Mills, Glenwillow, Highland Heights, Hunting Valley, Independence, Lyndhurst, Mayfield Village, Moreland Hills, Oakwood, Seven Hills, Solon, Valley View and Walton Hills.

During a press conference at the Statehouse this afternoon, State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) joined other public leaders in highlighting the state’s efforts in recent years to increase awareness and access to suicide prevention programs. She also discussed newly introduced legislation designed to help school districts and private schools across Ohio provide counseling to students in need of emotional support.
