COLUMBUS—State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) has been selected to participate in Season 11 of FIREBALL RUN, an online reality-filmed entertainment series. She has been selected to join in the show’s 11th anniversary alongside Lafayette Township Trustee Lynda Bowers.

Since 2007, FIREBALL RUN has been The Most Epic Adventurally in America®, a gripping eight-day, 2,000-mile, life-size trivia game, where America serves as the game board—part live event, part streamed, and part 25-episode series. Unlike reality TV, FIREBALL RUN is authentic and real, with 40 celebrity and aspirational driving teams competing for bragging rights, a greater cause, and a plastic road sign, all while raising awareness for missing children.

Team OHIO has been assigned and will raise awareness for a local missing child, Ashley Summers. Ashley, now 24, has been missing since 2007 and is considered an endangered runaway who is believed to still be in the local Cleveland area.  Representative Anielski and Trustee Bowers hope to raise media attention that could inspire new leads for police.

“When approached with the idea about participating again in the Fireball Run, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to highlight the search for ALL missing children, especially Ashley Summers,” said Rep. Anielski. “I’m eager to take part, while also drawing attention to the prevention of youth suicide.”

To move about the country and score, teams solve clues and accomplish tasks based on area points of interest, history and culture. Although a living trivia game, there is nothing trivial about FIREBALL RUN's message or results. Often referred to as “the most fun you will ever have, doing the most important thing you’ve ever done,” every team is assigned a missing child from their home of origin and tasked with distributing posters. The effort annually distributes 65,000 posters across America and has helped with 49 recoveries since 2007. Child Rescue Network serves as the show’s official charity.

The event is streamed live. Supporters and fans can track team locations via live GPS by AmberAlertGPS at www.fireballrun.com/live. All seasons, all episodes, are all available online at www.fireballrun.com. You can follow Team Ohio #18 and the Fireball Run on twitter at @teamOHfireball and remember to vote for TeamOHIO #18!

(2017) FIREBALL RUN 11th Anniversary is from September 22nd  through September 30th, traveling from Wisconsin to Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota.
