The Senior Center of Brecksville joins State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) in hosting a Military / Veterans Benefits Fair on Friday, February 28th.


The event will take place at the Brecksville Human Services Center and will feature a variety of organizations geared towards helping those who have served our country—no matter what era—as well as their spouses and families. Throughout the day there will be agency representatives who can help military personnel or their families with benefit questions, and many other military-related areas. The event is free and open to the public.


Date: Friday, February 28th
Time: 10 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
Location: Brecksville Human Services Center (2 Community Drive, Brecksville, OH 44141)
Bring: DD 214 or NGB 22 discharge papers. If discharge papers are not available, please bring the social security card of the military personnel.


“All of our military personnel have given personal sacrifices in leaving their loved ones to protect our freedoms,” Rep Anielski said. “It is my intention to make sure that all those who have served, no matter in what capacity and no matter what era, are aware of the benefits and services available to them during the Military Benefits Fair."

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) recently attended a vision screening training program hosted by the Ohio affiliate of Prevent Blindness at Brecksville Broadview Heights High School. Volunteers were trained and certified to conduct standardized preschool vision screenings that help detect early vision problems.

During this winter season, several specialized committees—task forces created by the Speaker of the House—have been meeting across Ohio to address specific policy areas. State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) was sworn in yesterday as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. She represents the 6th Ohio House District, which includes the south-east portion of Cuyahoga County, for a fourth term.
