State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Independence) is pleased to announce that six high schools within the 6th Ohio House District have been listed among America’s Best High Schools 2013, a ranking system compiled by Newsweek.

Newsweek and its panel of education experts examined data from thousands of high schools to determine the schools that best prepare students for college. Among these, Solon High School, Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools, Kenston High School, Brecksville-Broadview Heights, Independence High School and Mayfield Heights High School received high rankings.

“I’d like to offer my congratulations to these high schools for their exemplary performance as well as to the dedicated students and staff,” Rep. Anielski said.

The schools were analyzed based on the percentage of students enrolled in AP, IB or Advance International Certificate of Education courses, the four-year on-time graduation rate, the percentage of 2011 graduates who were accepted to college, AP/IB/AICE tests per student, average SAT and ACT score, and average AP/IB/AICE exam score.
