Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) recently appointed State Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) to serve as vice chair of the House Economic & Workforce Development Committee.


 


“I greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve as vice chair of the House Economic and Workforce Development Committee,” said Rep. Romanchuk. “Given my strong interest in preparing and training our workforce for the in-demand jobs that need to be filled in Richland County and throughout the state, I look forward to the work of the committee.”


 


Romanchuk is beginning his second term in the House. He represents the 2nd District, which comprises all of Richland County.

Resolution Pushing For Innovative Metals Institute Clears Legislature

State Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario)  announced that the Ohio Senate has passed a resolution he sponsored that urges the US Department of Defense to establish the “American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute.” The House adopted the resolution October 16th.

The Ohio House of Representatives today concurred on Senate changes to Substitute House Bill 1, which strives to streamline Ohio’s workforce development efforts and make it easier for Ohioans to utilize the resources that are available to them.
