Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) has appointed State Representative Marilyn Slaby (R-Copley) to serve on the House Education, Insurance, and Judiciary committees.

“I’m excited for the challenges that serving on these committees will bring,” Slaby said. “As a former educator, serving on the Education Committee will provide an opportunity to help the children of Ohio to succeed and to continue the upward trajectory of our school systems. I also look forward to serving on the Judiciary Committee, due to my husband’s service as the county prosecutor and as a court of appeals judge.  At the same time, continued service on the Insurance Committee will allow for the opportunity to continue on with the great work we began in the last General Assembly.”

State Representative Marilyn Slaby is currently serving her second term in the Ohio House of Representatives.  She represents the 38th District, which includes western portions of Summit and Stark counties.
