COLUMBUS -

Today, Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) appointed Rep. Laura Lanese (R-Grove City) as Vice Chair of the House Armed Services, Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security Committee.

“Having grown up on military bases as the daughter of a US Navy retiree, having spent a year with a spouse deployed to Iraq, and having served in the Ohio Air National Guard and US Army Reserve, I am especially cognizant of the myriad issues facing our veterans, service members and their families today,” Lanese said. “I’m honored that Speaker Rosenberger has asked me to be the vice chair of the House Armed Services, Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security Committee where I can use my passion, my personal experience and my national security background to serve the dedicated men and women of this state committed to ensuring the safety and security of our fellow Ohioans.”

Representative Lanese is currently serving her first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 23rd Ohio House District, which includes Grove City, Jackson Township, Urbancrest, and portions of Hilliard, Norwich Township, Prairie Township, Franklin Township, and Columbus.
