State Representative Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson), who sponsored House Bill 364 from the 129th General Assembly, today released the following statement regarding the savings that customers of FirstEnergy Ohio will see as a result of its passage:

“Yesterday FirstEnergy Ohio announced that by taking advantage of Ohio’s new securitization law passed last year, its customers will see savings of $106 million through the year 2035. This is exactly what this law was intended to do, and I’m proud to have sponsored the legislation.

“It is exciting to see that plans are already in place to save money for Ohioans who pay an electric bill. I’m grateful for House Bill 364’s passage and look forward to future savings for the people of our state.”
