State Representative Kristina Daley Roegner (R-Hudson) is pleased to announce the results of her 4th Grade Art Recognition Program, a program designed to recognize the artistic talents of 4th grade students from across the 37th House District. The goal was to capture the beauty of Ohio through individual art, and there were more than 300 submissions from 11 schools.

Rep. Roegner selected the Ohio-themed artwork created by Sydney Hazelton of St. Barnabas Elementary, Megan Freitas of Indian Trail Elementary, Madalyn Wendall of Seton Catholic School, and Spring Biggs of Echo Hills Elementary to be displayed in her office at the Ohio House of Representatives. Honorable mentions include Marissa Mosko of Holy Family, Isabel Ruiz-Flint of Seton Catholic School, Grace Niemiec of St. Barnabas Elementary, and Alexis Dombroski of Highland Elementary.

“I want to thank all the students who participated,” said Rep. Roegner. “It was so much fun to see the many beautiful pieces of art submitted by our 4th graders across the district. The passion these children have for our Buckeye State was demonstrated through their artistic creations.”

All submissions that were not selected for Rep. Roegner’s office will be sent to Ohio soldiers serving overseas or to an Ohio Veterans’ Home as a way to thank them for their service.

“I am certain that these will be an encouragement to and warm the hearts of our service men and women,” said Rep. Roegner.
