State Representative Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) is encouraging college students from the 37th House District to apply for internships at the Statehouse.

“I think this is a great way for young people to take an active role in their government and to learn more about the legislative process,” Roegner said. “There is a wide variety of opportunities for high school and college students to become involved, and I encourage them to participate.”

Among other things, interns and pages often assist with the day-to-day operations of a legislator’s office, including constituent outreach, researching, writing and data entry. Some legislative pages get to work on the floor of the Ohio House chamber where they get close-up look at the legislative process during House session.
