State Representative Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) today applauded the passage of House Bill 165 from the Ohio House.

The bill, which Roegner sponsored, exempts certified hyperbaric technologists from the laws governing the practice of respiratory care so that certified hyperbaric technologists may administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy under the direct supervision of a physician.

“The idea for this bill was brought to my attention by a doctor from our district who specializes in Hyperbaric Therapy,” said Roegner. “I am pleased to be able to sponsor this common sense piece of legislation.”

HB 165 will now be sent to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
