Rep. Kathleen Clyde To Host Town Hall Tour Across Portage County
7 stops for residents to hear a State Budget & Statehouse update

State Rep. Kathleen Clyde (D-Kent) will host a Town Hall Tour in Portage County on August 24, 25, 31and September 1. The Kent lawmaker will give an update on the state’s biennial budget and important issues affecting the district. She will also spend time listening to citizens’ ideas, concerns and feedback.

This tour is an opportunity for Rep. Clyde to better understand the issues that are most important to the people she represents while visiting with them directly in their home communities. All are welcome to attend.

The schedule for Rep Clyde’s Town Hall Tour is the following:

  • Streetsboro - August 24 at 5:00 p.m. at the Streetsboro City Hall (9184 State Route 43, Streetsboro, OH 44241)

  • Kent - August 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kent Free Library (312 W. Main St, Kent, OH 44240)

  • Southeast Portage - August 25 at 5:00 p.m. at Southeast High School (8423 Tallmadge Rd, Palmyra, OH 44266)

  • Ravenna - August 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Reed Memorial Library (167 East Main Street, Ravenna, OH 44266)

  • Atwater\Randolph - August 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Atwater Town Hall (1199 OH-183 Atwater, OH 44201)

  • Brimfield\Suffield – September 1 at 5:00 p.m. at the Brimfield Town Hall (1333 Tallmadge Rd, Brimfield, OH 44240)

  • Rootstown – September 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the NEOMED NEW Center (4209 St. Rt. 44, Rootstown, OH 44272)

Rep. Clyde represents the 75th Ohio House District, serving Kent, Ravenna, Streetsboro, and central and southern Portage County.

Clyde Announces The Ohio Future Voter Act To Allow Voter Pre-registration


State Rep. Kathleen Clyde (D-Kent) today introduced House Bill 637, the Ohio Future Voter Act, which would allow 16- and 17-year-olds to pre-register to vote. Under the bill, pre-registered Ohioans would automatically be added to the state voter rolls before the next primary or general election in which they are eligible to vote.

State Rep. Kathleen Clyde (D-Kent) today announced her new plan to close secret money loopholes, increase transparency and strengthen the ban on foreign money in Ohio elections with new legislation, the Ohio Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections Act, or DISCLOSE ACT.


Rep. Clyde Announces $1.23 Million In State Funds For University Improvements, Investment In Local Business


State Rep. Kathleen Clyde (D-Kent) today announced the release of over $1.23 million in state funds for various area projects, including improvements at the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), Kent State University (KSU) and Camp Ravenna.
