State Rep. Kathleen Clyde (D-Kent) issued the following statement today in response to recent attacks and grandstanding by GOP officials in Ohio against women and their healthcare providers:

“The current attacks on Planned Parenthood only serve to hurt and endanger more women and their doctors. Undermining high quality healthcare providers is dangerous and irresponsible.

“Planned Parenthood provides critically important healthcare to Ohio women including cancer screenings, preventative care, contraceptive services and other medical treatments.

“Efforts to defund Planned Parenthood clearly show the GOP's disrespect of women and their willingness to do anything to please the extreme radicals in their party.”
