Rep. Brent moves remaining in-district office hours to Facebook and Instagram Live

Precautionary public health measure during current coronavirus outbreak

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) today announced the cancellation of her remaining in-person in-district office hours. Instead, the office hours will take place via Facebook and Instagram Live. It will allow constituents to ask their questions online in real time as opposed to meeting in-person.

“Due to the concerns of the spread of the coronavirus, we must all limit public gatherings, so I will be moving my remaining in-district office hours to social media instead,” said Rep. Brent. “For questions and concerns about public health information for the coronavirus, utilize the Ohio Department of Health’s coronavirus resources, including www.coronavirus.ohio.gov and the coronavirus hotline at 834-4ASKODH. Onward together everyone.”

Although these do not qualify as “mass gatherings,” Rep. Brent does not wish to add to the spread of COVID-19 and wants to promote best health practices of limiting interaction with people until there is easy access to public testing and both the federal and state responses have more time to be implemented.
