Today, Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) appointed Rep. Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) as chair of the House Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee.


“It is an honor to be appointed as chair of the House Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee,” said Rep. Dever. “I thank the Speaker for once again entrusting me to shepherd policy that strengthens our communities and families, provides economic stability throughout our state, and helps every Ohioan realize their American dream of homeownership.”


Rep. Dever served as chair of the Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee for a portion of the 131st General Assembly and has championed several pieces of legislation in this space. He is currently serving his second term in the Ohio House representing the 28th House District, which includes the northern suburbs of Hamilton County.

State Representative Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) today applauded Governor John Kasich’s signing of House Bill 171, legislation that lowers the amount of heroin in possession to be considered a major drug offender. Rep. Dever sponsored the bill with Rep. Bill Blessing (R-Colerain).
