As a son of Hamilton County, I am truly honored to be representing the 28th District in the Ohio House. It has been a long journey to get here, and I feel blessed to be in this position. With the help of my constituents, I feel very confident that I will keep our area well-represented in the state legislature. While in office, I am committed to practicing responsible government and will lead with common sense and care for my constituents. I have seen that these qualities are absolutely necessary.

While growing up in Montgomery, I came to know the kinds of issues that are important to the people of southwest Ohio. I attended the Summit Country Day Boys School and Culver Military Academy for High School. I later would graduate from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree, Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a master’s degree and Capital University with a juris doctorate.

When my wife and I finished our schooling, we returned to Hamilton County to start two businesses: Dever Law Firm in West Chester and Martha’s dental office. I have made a career of trying to help families and small businesses survive and thrive in our area. I do not consider myself a career politician, but rather someone who is going to use all of my skills and experience to help the people of our district and from all across Ohio.

As I begin my first term in the Ohio House, I intend to work in a bipartisan way that continues to help our state improve economically and create jobs. We intend to pursue a vision in the House titled “Ohio 2020” that seeks to make long-term improvements to our state, focusing on increasing competitiveness, energy efficiency, education improvements, and protecting the health of our citizens.  By looking ahead to the future while crafting legislation, we can ensure that our time as state legislators makes a lasting impression that will help all Ohioans for years to come.

Our Speaker, Cliff Rosenberger, has appointed me to four House committees and one subcommittee where I will be able to best use my experience. I will serve on the House Judiciary Committee, the Ways & Means Committee, the Community & Family Advancement Committee, the Subcommittee on Minority Affairs and the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee. I look forward to evaluating legislation in these committees that will continue to keep Ohio on the right path.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you in the Ohio House. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or comments, do not hesitate to contact my office at (614) 466-8120 or
