As families prepare for summer and spending more time outdoors, state Rep. John Patterson (D-Jefferson) recently released a two-part Public Service Announcement* on Lyme disease and its potentially harmful effects if left undiagnosed and untreated. The videos feature interviews with Dr. Glen Needham, Professor Emeritus of Entomology at The Ohio State University, Dr. Charles Curie, veterinarian and owner of Geneva Veterinary Clinic, Tricia Gainey, a former student of Rep. Patterson and Dr. Phillip DeMio, a physician who specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Lyme and associated diseases.
