State Rep. John M. Rogers (D-Mentor-on-the-Lake) today announced his selection to the Council of State Governments (CSG) Henry Wolcott Toll Fellowship Program, a nationally recognized leadership program for state government officials in all there branches of government.

“I am deeply honored to be selected to be a part of the 2017 Toll Fellowship class” said Rogers. “This is an invaluable opportunity that will help me to better serve the residents of the 60th House District and the citizens of Ohio. I look forward to participating in this rigorous program, developing new ideas and improved policies with my fellow public servants.”

For the past 30 years, the Henry Wolcott Toll Fellowship Program annually offers a six-day development session for state government officials in Lexington, Ky. A single official is chosen from nearly each state to join public officials from across the nation. Those selected will have the unique opportunity to enhance their leadership ability and policy acumen, while also having the chance to share and hear ideas from other lawmakers across the United States.

Founded in 1933, The Council of State Governments has national headquarters in Lexington, Ky., and regional offices in Atlanta, Chicago (Lombard, Ill.), New York City and Sacramento. The goal of the national, nonpartisan organization is to assist and advance state government by providing research assistance, professional development opportunities, interstate consulting services and suggested state legislation.
