State Rep. John Boccieri (D-Poland) today announced the release of just over $33,000 in state funds to help replace an aging above ground storage tank at the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canfield post. The current above ground storage unit is over 20 years of age and needs to be replaced due to leaks found during a routine inspection.

“The men and women that serve in the Ohio State Highway Patrol deserve our respect and support for their dedication to keeping our highways safe,” said Boccieri. “I am pleased that the state is investing in order to ensure our local patrol troopers have up-to-date facilities.”

Funding for the project was approved at today’s meeting by the state Controlling Board, a panel tasked with oversight of state spending.
