State Representative John Becker (R-Union Township) introduced House Bill 266 today. It prevents any county board of elections, but not the Secretary of State, from sending out unsolicited ballots, ballot applications, and/or voter registration forms. Furthermore, HB 266 prohibits any of those materials from being sent with pre-paid postage.

Rep. Becker released the following statement on House Bill 266: “The intention of HB 266 is to create a statewide standard, a level playing field, and to reduce unnecessary government spending.”

House Bill 266 will be assigned to a House committee in the near future.
